Why Economics? An Event to Inspire you into the world of Applied Economics

Panmure House, Edinburgh: 

Economic Futures hosts its first 'Applied Economics Away Day'. This event is targeted at undergraduate students considering a career as a real-world economist.

Participants had an opportunity to learn about what economists to day-to-day, hearing from leaders in public policy, the media and the private sector.

Policy Evaluation Training

University of Stirling: 

A course on applied econometric methods. Here you will learn about the toolkit of the applied economist, including an introduction to methods of policy evaluation.

The course is targeted at final year undergraduates and postgraduate students enrolled in a Scottish University. The course will also be open to early career economists in public policy and the private sector.
